INNER • SPACE
You’ve been collecting memories, insights, knowledge, experiences, beliefs, hopes, fears, wishes.
This collection is an ever-growing inner universe.
Think of a house in which new rooms appear with each experience that deeply affects you.
As your archive grows, you become a more and more complex being. Before long, your house has become so big that you no longer know what’s happening in all of the rooms. Maybe you get lost when you try to find something. Maybe you need help with the housekeeping. Maybe you need a locksmith. Maybe you need a gardener or a carpenter or even a plumber. Maybe you feel things are happening in you that you aren’t able to see or hear or understand. Maybe your house has grown so large that you need a map. That’s where I come in. Think of me as your inner-house handy(wo)man.
OUTER • SPACE
Just like you, the world outside is always shifting, always changing. It is full of aspects that are part of the sensory and observable world, and full of other more subtle happenings. It is an evolving organism, and like any organism, it communicates. If you want to talk to the world, you need first to speak its language, and then to learn how to listen. Every good travel guide is also a good translator.
Those doing soul work, who want the searing truth more than solace or applause, know each other right away. Those who want something else turn and take a seat in another room. Soul-makers find each other's company. - RUMI
